Imphal, 16 April 2026: The Don Bosco Holiday Makers programme at Ravalico College Hostel witnessed an inspiring and insightful session by Shri Gaithaolang Pamei, Assistant Commandant of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), who addressed young boys and girls on preparing for the UPSC examination and building a disciplined life.
Securing an impressive All India Rank 336 in 2024, Shri Pamei shared his journey, offering practical guidance, strategies, and motivation to aspiring civil servants. Speaking on the theme “Preparing for UPSC Exam,” he emphasized the need for clarity of goals, systematic preparation, and unwavering commitment to success.
Highlighting the role of the armed forces, he urged students to develop a respectful and informed perspective towards the military, recognizing their noble duty in safeguarding the nation. He explained the distinct roles and responsibilities of various branches of the Indian armed forces and their coordinated efforts in tackling both internal and external threats, thereby ensuring national security and stability.
Shri Pamei also expressed deep appreciation for Don Bosco education, particularly in the Northeastern region, acknowledging its vital contribution in shaping responsible, disciplined, and value-driven youth. He noted that such institutions play a transformative role in empowering young minds to dream big and serve society with integrity.
Focusing on personal discipline, he encouraged students to set clear daily targets and utilize time effectively. Stressing consistency and perseverance, he advised them to avoid distractions and cultivate habits that lead to steady progress. “Success is not accidental; it is the result of planned effort and disciplined execution,” he remarked.
The session, held at 5:00 PM, was marked by active participation from students, who engaged with the speaker during the interactive segment.
