Imphal, 19 April 2026: The Don Bosco Holiday Makers programme at Ravalico College Hostel hosted an engaging and practical session for aspiring students, featuring Joseph Hingba, a banking aspirant, who addressed young boys and girls on “Preparing for Banking Exams.” The session, held at 5:00 PM, drew enthusiastic participation from students eager to explore career opportunities in the banking sector.
Joseph Hingba shared valuable insights into various banking examinations such as IBPS PO/Clerk, RBI Grade B, and SBI PO/Clerk, offering a clear roadmap for students preparing to enter this competitive field. Emphasizing effective preparation strategies, he highlighted the importance of taking regular mock tests, noting that they significantly enhance confidence, time management, and exam readiness.
Addressing the challenges faced by students from the Northeastern region, Hingba spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of living in cities for educational purposes. While cities offer better exposure and resources, he cautioned students to remain focused and disciplined amidst distractions.
He underlined the crucial role of mathematics in banking exams, encouraging students to strengthen their numerical aptitude through consistent practice. Stressing the importance of prioritization, he advised students to focus on long-term goals rather than short-term pleasures and distractions that hinder progress.
Hingba also encouraged students to aim for admission to central universities, pointing out that such institutions provide better facilities, wider exposure, and a higher standard of education. In a serious note, he warned young people against the dangers of substance abuse, urging them to make responsible choices that safeguard their future.
The session reflected the core message of the programme—Dream, Prepare, Achieve—as Hingba motivated students to pursue their ambitions with clarity, discipline, and perseverance. The interactive session concluded with students expressing gratitude for the practical guidance and inspiration received.
The Don Bosco Holiday Makers initiative continues to serve as a dynamic platform for youth empowerment, equipping students with the knowledge, values, and direction needed for a successful future.
