Imphal, 8 March 2026 : Ravalico College Hostel witnessed an emotional evening as it organized a farewell programme for its outgoing Class XII students under the theme “Six Stars and One Sky.” The programme was a beautiful blend of gratitude, celebration, and hopeful anticipation for the future.
The event began with a prayer led by the Director, Fr Benny James SDB, invoking God’s blessings on the outgoing students as they prepare to enter a new phase of life.
The evening unfolded with a series of thoughtfully arranged items, beginning with an introduction that highlighted the journey of the Class XII students—marked by friendship, growth, and shared experiences in hostel life.
Cultural performances added colour and emotion to the programme. A soulful solo song, a vibrant fashion show titled “From Hostel Corridors to the World Stage,” and another reflective musical piece captured the spirit of the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Fr Benny James reflected on the theme “Six Stars – One Sky,” appreciating each student’s unique qualities while emphasising their unity as a family. He commended the outgoing students for their generosity, cooperation, discipline, and dedication, and encouraged them to carry these values into the wider world. He also highlighted the importance of reviving the tradition of farewell, making the evening all the more special.
A touching farewell song by the hostellers and the presentation of mementoes added warmth to the celebration, symbolising the lasting bond between the students and the hostel community. The cake-cutting ceremony further marked the joyful milestone of completing an important stage of life.
Special moments of reflection were shared by Sr Catherine MSMHC, who also expressed her gratitude as she prepares to move on, and by the outgoing students, who voiced their appreciation for the care, guidance, and memories they received during their stay.
In a heartfelt vote of thanks, gratitude was extended to Fr Benny James for his constant guidance, to the Sisters for their presence, to all those who worked behind the scenes, and to the hostel community for their spirit of unity and service.
The programme concluded with a prayer of blessing for the outgoing students, followed by the hymn to Don Bosco, entrusting their future to God’s loving care.
Though it was a farewell, the evening was filled not with sadness alone but with gratitude, pride, and hope. The Class XII students leave behind not just memories but a lasting legacy in the life of the hostel. As they step into new horizons, they carry with them the values, friendships, and formation received at Ravalico College Hostel—truly remaining stars under one sky.
