Imphal, 2 October 2026: Hostellers of Ravalico College Hostel, Imphal, marked Gandhi Jayanti by taking part in a social work and cleanliness drive in the neighbourhood.
The students worked along the roadside and in drainage areas, clearing accumulated mud, weeds, plastic waste and other rubbish. They also cleared blocked drains to improve water flow and overall cleanliness in the locality.
The activity gave hostellers the opportunity to step beyond the hostel and contribute directly to the neighbourhood’s welfare. Through their collective effort, the students demonstrated the values of service, responsibility and care for the common environment.
The social work was part of the hostel’s effort to nurture in young people the spirit of community service and responsible citizenship.
