To me, this place was a crucible of growth, where friendships were forged in the fire of shared struggles and triumphs.
As I was just growing up and beginning to wonder about the seemingly competitive world, I needed a perfect place that would mould, grill, and capacitate my logical reasoning—both in the academic sphere and spiritual scope. And then, I found Ravalico College Hostel at the right time. It helped me discover my voice, passion, and germinate my calibre to aim high without fear.
The most transformative part for me was a short meditation that Fr Benny would lead us through—asking us to listen to every single sound around us as he played a piece of serene music just before morning Mass. This meditation created a positive ripple effect in sharpening my thought process and has helped me maintain consistency to this day.
Long story short, the moments we created in those humble rooms are etched in my mind like a masterpiece—a testament to the power of camaraderie and shared experience.
The hostel became a launchpad for my dreams and a sanctuary for my soul. And my advice to the young Ravalicans is this: this place will surely nurture you to begin humbly, and in doing so, give birth to the finest and most unique version of you. As the saying goes, “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
Last but not least, when any external force discourages you to quit, remember the reason why you started.
This should be the guiding principle for all Ravalicans—to keep moving steadily toward the pinnacle of success.
